An essential sensorial material in the Montessori method, this set of Baric Tablets helps children refine their pressure sensitivity through touch and comparison.
Product Description
The Montessori Baric Tablets are designed to isolate and refine a child’s tactile sense by helping them differentiate objects by weight. This sensorial material encourages careful handling, observation, and comparison, laying the foundation for early scientific thinking.
Each of the three included wooden boxes contains tablets made from woods of different densities. Children are invited to match tablets of equal weight, often while blindfolded, which deepens their baric (pressure) sensitivity and concentration.
